I only collect the details you send me through the contact form (your name, your email or phone number and your message) and I use them only to reply to you. I don’t sell or share them, and you can ask me to delete them at any time.

2. What data I collect and why

When you write to me through the contact form I collect your name, your email or phone number, your message and the language of the page you wrote from. I use them only to reply to your enquiry and, if we end up working together, to prepare a proposal.

When you submit the form, the service that receives it (Netlify) also records the IP address and browser you write from, to filter out automated messages (spam).

I don’t use your data to send you advertising and I don’t make automated decisions with it.

Your consent, given when you tick the box on the form (Article 6.1.a GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time.

4. How long I keep it

As long as needed to reply to your enquiry and at most 12 months after our last contact, unless we start working together. After that I delete them.

5. Who it is shared with

I don’t sell or share your data. To run this website I use these providers, who process it on my behalf:

  • Netlify, Inc. (website hosting and form handling). It has servers in the United States; the data transfer is covered by the GDPR safeguards (the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses).
  • Umami (cookie-free visitor statistics). It only receives anonymous, aggregated data: pages viewed, country, device type and which website you came from. It doesn’t store anything that identifies you.

6. Your rights

You can ask me for access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability of your data by writing to santiagostrella@gmail.com. If you think your data has not been handled properly, you can file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).

7. Cookies

This website doesn’t use cookies. It only stores in your browser (localStorage) whether you prefer the light or dark theme; that setting never leaves your device.

To know how many people visit the site I use Umami, an analytics tool that doesn’t use cookies or track anyone across websites: it counts visits anonymously and in aggregate.
